Les Mis wins the PAMTA for Best Ensemble Performance!

It turns out that the PAMTA committee could hear the people sing. They loved hearing it.

Congrats to the entire cast of Staged!'s Les Miserables.

It was announced at the first annual Portland Musical Theatre Awards tonight (June 23rd) that our cast gave the best Ensemble Performance in Portland musical theatre this year.

Also, our own Rebecca McDade won the award for best Young Performer as Gavroche.

Great all-around evening for the cast. For those of you who couldn't make it, we missed you.

Fantasic job, guys. We earned it.

Hey Les Misers,

As you know from Greg's email, Les Mis has been nominated for best ensemble by the PAMTA! I was just wondering if everybody wants to attend the award ceremony. It is at the Winningstad on the 23rd of June at 7 pm. I am going to go - I'm really, really excited about it! So, if you're going, just leave a comment and we'll see who to expect at the ceremony!

Upcoming Events?

Hello everybody! Now that Les Mis is over :( we won't get to see each other every day at practice. I was wondering if any of you are in upcoming shows. I think that everyone in the cast would like to see a fellow cast member in another show! If you write all of the details on this fine blog (which was made for this very reason) we can all get together and see it! You will have your own personal little Les Mis posse waiting to congratulate you after the show :) Well anyhue... write down all your informational such and such so that we can come see your shows!

This is sooooo exciting. This idea was very smart. I love the idea that we will be able to stay connected after the show is done. I read the other posts and they were wonderful. I love this cast so much and I want to say thanks to everyone for making this expierence something I will never forget!

"Its no exaggeration - this show is magnificent. Not magnificent "for a bunch of kids," just plain magnificent. Spare technical elements allow for focus on tremendous singing and acting talents. Les Mis PDX: First post

Hi everybody! This is Greg (Javert...well, you knew that since we're still doing the show). This is the official blog of "Les Miserables: the Original Portland Cast."

We'll be using this blog to talk about our show, other shows we're doing-will be doing, and as just a way to have fun/keep in touch (since this cast kicks some serious you know what).
